1 year old PearlyPearly's first appearance was on March 29 twenty-something years ago at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. i practically lived there all my life...until i was 18, where i left home to pursue a university degree in Canada.

It never did occur to me that i'd find my soulmate here, but God has been really kind to me. Despite the distance between us, somehow somewhere, fate pulled our strings and brought us together. Spring break 2000, Johnny took a 13-hour bus ride to visit some friends in Toronto. We had our first unofficial "date", i remember it involved a pink carnation, a chick flick and pasta dinner. Next came his college graduation, and surprisingly enough i was invited over as his date. You can imagine the look on his friends when he suddenly showed up with a girlfriend. Yep...my appearance definitely stunned everyone.

i was then offered a job in the U.S. and needless to say, the long-distance dating days were over. My loving parents were extremely supportive of my decision to move to the States, and i thank them dearly for that. With that said, i'd also like to dedicate this wedding website to them for their endless love and generous support. They're absolutely the best!!!

So 4 years later, here i am sitting next to the love of my life, who inspires me to be a better person. i am sooo excited to spend the rest of my life with him! Not to mention i am also Johnny's ever-ready Warcraft gaming partner. And the fact that i love sushi? ;)

It's hard to believe that it's been over 4 years that we've been together. We've grown a lot together over this time and have learned a lot about each other. We've weathered our shares of downs and I think it's a testament of our commitment to one another.

I remember spending our first Christmas together. I hid a few gifts in her apartment without her knowledge. As Christmas drew closer, I would surprise her and tell her to look for special gifts in certain spots. Her reactions were priceless.

A 10-month old JohnnyI am very blessed to have such a special person in my life. We have many things in common, especially our uncanny love for Calvin & Hobbes. Now if only she would let me play against her in Warcraft rather than always against the computer :P
